Pascoe Series Signed Up by ITV Studios
ITV Studios has taken the option on the Tom Pascoe books and will now consider producing a series of films for telivision over the next two years. Contracts with the Studios were exchanged a few days ago and it is still too early for the company to have formulated detailed plans for the future treatment of the stories. I am, of course, thrilled at this development and the confidence placed in me by ITV Studios and very much hope the venture proves as successful as the books have done. I’ll let you have more details just as soon as the information becomes available.

Congratulations! I love this series. Hope all goes to plan.
Thanks Yvonne. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that something comes of the initiative. Meanwhile, I keep writing.

Patrick
Patrick,
I have worked by the Thames for the last 20 odd years and have taken great interest in the history of it. The Pascoe series, as well as brilliant and absorbing story telling, provides a wonderful insight into the importance of the Thames and how it’s people contributed to the growth of London and the nation. Hopefully there are many more stories to come.
Thank you Patrick!!
Hi Paul,
Thank you for sharing your comments on the series. I very much enjoy rooting around for new stories and the background events that give them ‘legs’. My next book is already well under way but will not (for the time being) continue the story of Tom Pascoe. I’ve been asked to produce what is, at the moment, a stand-alone book which may, with luck, develope into a parallel series. It is set in the same period of history and covers the fortunes and misfortunes of my hero as he tries to make sense of the storm that threatens to engulf him.
Regards,
Patrick
Many congratulations Patrick – always knew you would do well.
Hi Diane.
Great to hear from you and thanks for the comment.
Best,
Patrick
A great series just finished Cuckold Point and can’t wait until Tom is on his beat again.
Hi David
I’m so pleased you enjoyed Cuckold Point. Tom is on leave for a little while but I expect to see him back on his old manor in the not too distant future. I’m currently editing another book which, although covering the same historical period and the same area of London concerns the fortunes (and misfortunes) of a man little known to history. In fact the only referennce I can find of him is in a book published in 1908 which devotes (from memory) around two paragraphs to his story. I’ve called the new book Virginia Street. As soon as I’ve finished the editing process, I’ll get straight on to the next installment of the Pascoe series. My fingers (and toes) are crossed.

Hi Patrick, I don’t know if you remember me, but I used to be a Navigation Ranger on the Norfolk Broads & you kindly signed your first Tom Pascoe book for me. Congratulations on your tie-up with ITV Studios, you must be thrilled, What a marvellous series it will make. I very much enjoyed Cuckold Point and look forward to the next adventures of Tom. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you & your family. Regards Tony
Hi Tony,
Great to hear from you. Mention of the Norfolk Broads brings back memories of pottering about with my family and trying not to ram the banks too often during the course of a day. Much different to handling a boat on the tideway.Thank you very much for your good wishes and, of course, remaining faithful to my books. The new book, Virginia Street, is rather slow in coming. My fault entirely. I keep thinking of new things to say so it just goes on getting longer and longer. I suspect my editor will cut it back down to size. She usually does. Meanwhile I await a decision on filming.
A very happy Christmas to you, too, and of course, the family.
Regards,
Patrick
